LADY K. SUPER SPRINT TRIATHLON 2017- ‘Rise and Tri”
03 Dec 2017
The Lady K. Super Sprint Triathlon, the latest addition to the Trust's fundraising events calender is in it's second year. This is a short triathlon that allows maximum participation due to the lower fitness requirements needed to complete the event. Super Sprints are also ideal for the swim component being pool based.
‘Rise and Tri'
Triathlon’s consist of any combination of a swim section, a cycle section and a run section. Traditionally the order is swim, cycle and run. However, this is not set in stone. Initial planning for our event will be to follow the traditional order of events. However, we should not disregard starting with the cycle, then doing the run and ending with the swim. This will be advantages with route selection and road safety.
The following distances will be completed (in no particular order):
- Swim: 400m / 8 laps 50m pool, est. lap time 15 - 25 minutes with a seeded start.
- Cycle: 10km, est. time 20 - 40 minutes
- Run: 2.5km, est. 10 - 30 minutes
NOTE: It should take any average competitor max 90 minutes to complete.
